What is chelation therapy and treatment

I believe you guys don’t ever heard of chelation therapy right? Well, I never heard of it too until a week ago. Somebody mentioned it to me while we were talking about how to quit smoking. For those who never heard of it, let me do a quick introduction to chelation therapy.

Chelation therapy is a process of administering chelating agents to remove unwanted heavy metals from the body. One of the main ingredient used for chelation therapy is ethylenediaminetetra-acetic acid (EDTA) salts. Basically the treatment is to cleanse the veins and arteries which usually leads to heart conditions like arterial blockage and peripheral artery disease.

There are 2 main methods of the chelation therapy. There’s intravenous chelation therapy which sticks the needle into the veins by doctors or nurses which usually done at the hospital or clinics. The other way is oral chelation therapy which means you taking chelation pills or chelation medicine orally by swallowing it.

If you have been diagnosed with cardiovascular problems or felt like you don’t have energy all the time, the ability to memorize something is getting worse, difficulty in breathing after simple exercises or pain and aches om short walks, that is a sign of heavy metal poisoning in the body. You might want to consider to see your doctor for further inspection and advice as well as taking chelation therapy as the alternative treatment.
